First-Generation Graduates

Celebrate First-Generation Graduates April 22

Graduating from college is a tremendous achievement. If you’re the first in your family to graduate — that means neither of your parents hold a 4-year degree — celebrate your success at the First Forward Graduation Ceremony.

You’ll have the opportunity to elect a special mentor to cord you, or you can also choose to be corded by the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. Participants will receive a unique teal cord, which represents new beginnings and bright futures. Light refreshments will be provided.

First Forward Graduation Ceremony

Sunday, April 22 | 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Jordan Ballroom, Student Union Building
Registration deadline is April 20.

Reserve your space and nominate a family member or mentor to award your cord.
